Hello everyone, I'm excited to be back as a lifestylist contributor for ILHS and sharing my recipe for Fall Sangria with you today! It has all the classic fall flavors of apple and cinnamon with the added twist of cranberries and rosemary.

We've recently developed a fall family tradition of apple picking (which I highly recommend as a fun family outing if you've never been) and so I'm always looking for new recipes for all those apples! And since cranberries are also in season, I thought why not combine the two for a festive Thanksgiving cocktail?!?

What's even better is, you can make this Fall Sangria ahead of time so it's all ready to go when your friends and family arrive for Thanksgiving dinner.  No fussing with mixing drinks at the last minute and more time with your guests! It's also easy to bring along if you're not the one doing the hosting.

FALL SANGRIA RECIPE:

Ingredients:

1 750ml bottle of white wine

1 cup apple cider

2 apples, chopped (I used Honeycrisp & Ambrosia)

1 pear, chopped

1/2 cup cranberries

1 750ml of Prosecco or sparkling white wine

fresh rosemary and cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine the bottle of white wine and apple cider in a large pitcher. Core and chop the apples and pear into chunks and add to mixture. Stir well.

  2. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

  3. To serve, pour into glasses and top up each one with a splash of the prosecco and add a sprig of fresh rosemary and a cinnamon stick for garnish if desired.

  4. Enjoy!

Even though our Thanksgiving celebrations might look a little different this year, I hope you get to enjoy some time with your favorite people and celebrate all the many things we have to be grateful for.  Happy Thanksgiving and cheers!
